#1 Post by hugger73hatch » Sun Aug 09, 2009 9:48 am

In the middle of replacing all body mounts with energy suspension Polyurethane bushings and need to get all new hardware. I found a set at classic industries http://www.classicindustries.com/contro ... atalogId=2. Didn't know if anybody knew of anymore options.

Get the right stuff the first time it will sae you trouble in the long run, Dont forget those thick washers that go between the bushings and the body at the firewall otherwise the front clip will never line up right. 8-)

I go to ACE for the bolts and washers ,I also prefer the aluminum body bushings because they seem to tighten the car up more. Walt

The bolts and washers are not really of a concern, I know where I can get those. I am looking for the steel inserts and so far the only place I can find them is Classic Industries. Call them today, first time customer and my billing and shipping address have to be the same for first time customer, which mine is different, so now I have to call my bank tomorrow to change it so I can see about ordering them.

Walt, where do you get those aluminum bushings? I am assuming you are talking about the inserts that the poly bushings go around. Let me know ASAP as I need these things quickly, got a race I am getting ready for and I am going to be out of town a few days next week.

Still not what I need. I have the bushings, I need to replace the steel inserts that go inside of the bushings. See picture below. I have the red bushings, I just need the metal parts??? Don't ask me why it doesn't come in the so called "Master Kit" that I bought.

Hugger, I've only ever used the solid aluminum bushings, it sucks the steel inserts didn't come in the kit. Walt

Got the kit with the inserts and hardware pictured above from my local speedshop today. Has what I need and now - have some extra red body bushings for anyone interested. Sell at a good price.
