Re: modified camaro/nova subframe pics
Seeing how John's not willing to post photos of his top secret sub-frame modifications , here's a link to the TRZ website. They have a photo of a modified unit on the front page with one side with stock shock mounting and one side modified for coil-over shock mounting along with rack & pinion steering. http://www.trzmotorsports.com/

Re: modified camaro/nova subframe pics
Mine's done just like TRZ's. Some of the parts even came from them.

What do you mean by heim uppers?John_Heard wrote:Todd why didn't you go with heim uppers?
The customer had the chassis built by a different shop. It came to us and I redid alot of the front end, but the a-arms were from the other shop. The uppers a-arms have heim ends as well as spherical bearings instead of ball joints. The spindles and shocks are Santhuff and were originally installed by the previous shop. They had a real funky/ugly flat stock upper shock mount which I removed in favor of the tube can I made up instead...much cleaner/simpler design.
The frame originally had the stock front crossmember as well as the bottom flat portion of the rear wide crossmember. We removed it all and extended the inner frame rails to make more room for the HUGE dry sump oil pan.

The upper shock mounts..DOTracer wrote: What do you mean by heim uppers?
Is he going to run fender well headers? We were looking at the 25.2 and 25.3 specs and those dang inner rails make it very tough to run chassis headers from what I can see.
