Scale weights for novas with leafspring

#1 Post by fourtenposi » Mon Aug 23, 2010 6:46 pm

What kind of scale weights are you all getting with you leafspring, caltrac novas?

Car currently has QA1 adjustable coil overs, I have about 4 inches of travel, I could get more, but it would put more weight on the nose. Currently the car has about 50.7% of the weight on the nose. So would be more of an advantage? Increaseing the travel and making it more nose heavy? Or leaving it where it is at.

Car is a 74 nova, and runs 6.4s-6.50s in the 1/8.

Thanks

My car is 51% on the rear. I've got the front travel limited to 4.25" right now. I go tighter when the track is good.

Would you mind sharing your corner weights? Did you add weight to the rear?

I don't have the four corner weights recorded. I've always paid attention to front/rear bias and making it go down the track straight.

Yeah, there is weight in the rear of the car to get it up to the class minimum. To run at 3200 lbs, I have 105 lbs over the axle. I also have a 16 gallon fuel cell that's mostly empty and a Nitrousaurus-X unit that weights 11 lbs.

We use four corner scales at the track so I'll try to remember to write them down. But they aren't on a good level surface be aware of that.
