Re: shifter mounts
I like it.
My brother bought it for my. He thought I just had to have it. I was reluctant to install it but once I did and used a few times I wouldn't go back to a button.
Althought my car has not responded off the light very well yet, the trigger is fast enough to help get the reaction time down to a exceptible time. I do feel like it is faster for my.

I cut it down to the height I wanted, in my wifes truck, made a plate , that had 4 holes in it that I bolted to trans tunnell and trimmed shifter plate to size of shifter base, I like how it looks in wifes truck

Re: shifter mounts
Here's mine:
Pretty simple, 1" x 5" moly tube, 4" x 4" x 1/8" plate, 3" x 8" x 1/8" plate and some black paint.
I also made the top removable.

I did mine like it is so everything needing to be used on the starting line is right there in one place easy to reach. Nitrous purge, motor purge, line lock switch, trans brake, delay box. It's like sitting in a recliner.

Simple things for us simple people...supernova wrote:His is simple.
I did drill a 5/8" hole (?) in the mounting plate to run the wires through and then put in a snap bushing to keep the wires from rubbing.

Re: shifter mounts
this is the finished product. 1.25 chromoly tube that slips inside a 1.375 tube for quick release, welded to a plate and then the trans tunnel(engine and trans were already in)
I love it. thanks for the ideas guys. its in the perfect position for me, with just a little bit of a tilt of the back toward the driver.
Re: shifter mounts
looks good, good job!!!!!
Re: shifter mounts
