Strange uses Koni valving internals...IMO the body of the Strange is just as good or better as a Koni and if you do
get the double adjustable..Yea there more $$$$ but well worth it...

While the Koni shock works fairly well, I don't believe its easily adjusted. The one set I had years ago had to be removed from the car to be adjusted. There's just not enough time between runs, even on a test-n-tune night to do that.

I've had good luck with QA1 shocks. They are a lower end shock but work pretty well. The "R" version works well on the front.

I also had pretty good results with Ranchos on the rear. They are a single adjustable, fairly affordable shock. Jegs used to sell them, not sure if they still do. I know Calvert is selling that same shock with their name on them.

Anyway, do yourself a favor and get externally adjustable shocks that don't have to be removed to adjust. Even if you have to save up a little while to afford them, you'll be glad you did.

I here what your saying John but don't you think that a Strange shock is an overall better shock????
I consider Stantuff the only one better than Strange IMO

The Strange is probably a better shock, although I must say I've had good luck with the QA1. I was viewing the question as more of a budget issue since he was looking at Koni and Lakewood---<5 minutes later>---I just looked at the pricing and I didn't realize the Strange was priced about the same as the QA1. Good to know.

How many clicks does a Strange have? Seems like its about 8?

In comparing the Koni to the Strange, I'd like to advise that you'll probably get better customer service and technical support from Strange... they pay much more attention to drag racing.
