The latest and greatest are the Smith Racecraft Assassin bars.

The slide-a-links will work be better! If your trying to save a buck and don't care if you get the best performance out of a traction system, the Lakewoods will do the job. I had a 67 camaro that I run slapper bars on year ago that was fast as hell (6.3's on the bottle) and it was a street car.

My 2 cent is spend the money!

One of the fastest guy's around here in the drag radial class has been in the low 5.'s using these bars. But couldn't compete with ladder bar or the 4 link cars in the class so this winter he changed over to a ladder bar set up. The fun thing is he still has not gone any faster! Go figure!!!!!!

The main reason I like this design isn't so much the number of adjustments, it's that they help prevent the front of the spring from bending better than the cal-tracs. In face I'm looking into buying just the front part of them to put on my car. Have to do some measuring first...

A flat plate welded to the Caltrac's thick wall tubing that sits on top of the springs would distribute the loading similar to the Assassin bars. That should help the bending of the springs and would cheap too.
