It's pretty common for there to be some top end squirm when you unload with wrinkle-walls at speed. It's up to you as to what's too much and whether or not the stability (or lack of) is a problem.
I would try lowering rear tire pressure a bit a time until you achieve a reasonable trade-off between hook and stability at speed. As to your sway bar, I don't have an opinion on whether or not to use that. I don't use one myself (ladder bars) but I think they're pretty uncommon with a lot of guys on the track. Of course, your Cuda is a (damn fast) street car with street suspension, so I don't know what to offer up. I know it's got to be pretty heavy and that eats horsepower.

Tub it means to install a narrowed rear end, narrowed frame rails, wheel tubs, and those big old slicks.......
There are some on this site, including myself that have done this, like Wikd69 (Harry), Hitchcock, BracketNova, Carolina Kid but most on here run the 10.5 slicks.
Like Don said, I'm living proof that "anyone" can install a S&W kit, and yes, their customer service is also top notch. Don can testify to that, from the amount of emails he used to get from me in one day....... and just so you know, I paid Don to say those nice things about me......
The check is in the mail buddy.

Some people use them and some people don't.
I just use plain breathers and and a PVC valve on my car.

Re: 1970 Cuda 4 speed 60 ft problem
Just remember, this is on my car and what works on mine may not be the best for your car.
On mine, I have a port on the back of my carb base plate, from there I go into the pcv on the one valve cover. On the other valve cover I use a Moroso breather.
I have also seen guys run just a stock Mopar breather with no hose attached to them.

ok , only a advice .... but in this system ..pcv side dont suck oil from valve cover to intake at high rpm and cause smoke ???Bruce69Camaro wrote:Just remember, this is on my car and what works on mine may not be the best for your car.

Re: 1970 Cuda 4 speed 60 ft problem
Your right, on some motors it may cause smoke on the high rpm's but my motor is not nearly what most of the motors are like here on this site.
Here is something to think about, I just looked up the Moroso crankcase evac system and there was a footnote that said you shouldn't run this system if you run mufflers, which you do.
It's probably due to the back pressure????

Depending on when you're in SoCal, you could hit Pomona, Irwindale or Famosa (Bakersfield). I don't know where 66 will take you, but look for races in the major cities you go through, usually on weekends... Most of the tracks have test-and-tune or street drags during the week, and do the bigger events with faster rides on the weekends.raffaplymouth wrote:Wik !! , you live in CA ?? from 2 day i fly to Los angeles !! i start on the 66 i will drive from LA to Amarillo TX !! for vacation trip !! you know some race in your place ???
Sounds like a good trip, have fun :)
