add an antiroll bar?

#1 Post by mikeT » Mon May 13, 2013 5:51 pm

Hi!
Looking for some advise?
I have a tube chassis 700hp bbc, glide ,2400lb ,4link a arm car I am rebuilding and updating. It ran 5.70s in the 1/8th with 1.25 60ft times 9.17 in 1/4.
runs straight off the line and at the top end. I added the couple bars it needed to cert 25.4, 7.50et
I plan on adding more HP down the road. would like to run mid to low eights.
My question is while i'm updating it ,would I gain any by adding an antiroll bar?
I have been looking at the RJS with bronze bushings kit?
THANKS!!!!

Probably be helpful as you add more power - it's very common for Hi HP. 4 link cars to run an anti-roll bar.

Thanks John !
I did alot more research and it seems like a nobrainer to add one while updating the car.
As I read that Dave Morgan once said" Nobody thats added one has complained afterwards"

Just remember that an ARB "works" only if there is roll. In other words, it can never completely solve the problem. It's like that old "halfway to the goal line" football puzzle. It's better to dynamically reduce or eliminate the problem
