Beyond and gearjammer,

Did you guys also install the CE rear frame rails, or stick with the stock frame?

Stock frame, there is no need to change the rear frame rails even though that's what it says in the CE catalog. The only modifications to the frame are notching where the front spring hanger sets.

Beyond,

How far in did you mount your sliders?
Is it centered (front to back) near the stock rear mount?
It looks like a sweet setup.

I'm putting a set of detroit speed & engineering wheel tubs on my
'72 nova. I just bought the tubs because i'm going to run my
Caltracs w/the split mono leafs. I bought the CE offset hangers,
but don't want to raise the ride height. I'm going to try to fit a
set of M/T ET drag 29.5-10.5/15's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Those are Afco's, I'm getting ready to switch it over to Santhuff's for this year.

I did the same as Beyond

Mine are installed 90* to the rear end (straight back) the location of the slider will depend on your leaf spring, if its a 1" drop spring the spring will be flatter which will require the slider to be farther back than stock.

John Calvert recommends that you install the slider so that the center of the rear spring eye is 1" - 1 1/2" from the back of the slider while resting on the ground.

Thanks Gearjammer that's a big help.

What is the best way to fab a mount for the slider?

I was thinking of a plate or square tubeing welded
from the bottom of the stock frame rail to the
floor pan.

Thanks
