I'm pretty happy with the tiles...except where I put the D-rings through them. I stuck them over the linoleum. I tried pulling the old flooring up, but it was taking parts of the plywood with it. So, I filled the torn areas of the old flooring with body filler and sanded it out. I went over the floor with my DA and added some spray glue to the floor before I stuck the tiles down. If you put your foot down on one you can get it to wiggle side to side...not sure if that is the glue on the tile, or the glue on the floor that I put down. As far as where the D-rings are, it lifts the edge of the tiles because of the squish of the linoleum underneath them. Even after cutting around the d-rings to relieve the pressure. So, I'm going to try to glue the edges with laminate glue and see if that holds it down. If that doesn't work, I'll pre cut for the d-rings and replace the tiles.

We figured for ~ 220 bucks we'd give the tiles a shot. Cheapest I could find coin floor was 600 I think. I would imagine coin floor would be hard to keep clean over time. Also with the tiles at least if you drop something on them it's 88 cents to fix it :)

I think what you should do is knock out the living area and make room for my car and come pick me up :smt005

That is one nice setup.

Yeah your right, from my place to the PA/ Ohio line is 6 hours so you may have been around 8 hours away and I'm sure that's a lot closer the Iowa......

With that long of a trailer, don't you have room to locate the load fore & aft to adjust the tounge weight some?

(Most of us live in houses smaller than that........)

I pull it in with the back of the car maybe 2ft in from the door. There's some work to be done on the ramp door flap before I get it any closer to the door  I'm always paranoid about something...now I need to check and see why the car bounces so much the front Cal-Trac brackets smack the floor on the driver's side  That didn't happen in my last trailer.

Nice trailer! Given your setup, I don't think backing your car in would be so bad. Worth a try.

I like tongue weight I have pulled all this crap down the road at 80mph straight as a arrow always goes straight

I have seen a picture of your rig, you and bracketnova both have great set ups.

Update - The sticky tiles on the floor have not held up as well as I would have liked. I didn't even race this last year, and they are curling and starting to peel up. I even used extra adhesive when I put them down. Oh well was worth a try. Just wanted to warn others in case they thought of trying it.

That sucks, are you going to replace them with something else? Carpet? Rubber Coin stuff?

Gonna go coin floor. Might have to wait a bit. I busted my block while the car was in storage last year. Thought I had all the water out...guess not. But, if anyone has a good source for coin floor I'm all ears.

Oh man, that sucks !!! Sorry to hear that. I did that with a boat I owned a long time back while living in the Seattle area. Didn't get the block completely drained and that inboard V8 block just fragmented over the winter. That sucked too...
