I don't know, but I'm sure it's not every 4 years. I would think yearly would be a good rule of thumb.

I've been pulling the hubs off once a year and feel for heat around the hubs just about every time I pull it very far.

Towmaster now makes a 225 15" 10 ply rated trailer tire. They weren't cheap but neither is my trailer, truck, race car, etc. the last time I had one of the 8 ply's come apart it did $2000 damage to the trailer. They only had 3000 miles on them and 3 years old.

I had trouble out of the 225/75-15 off brand D range tires I had on the trailer. They wore very unevenly and eventually started to fail.

Now I'm trying the 8 ply Carlisle 205s with good results.

Until I switched to Carlisle, mine didn't have a chance to wear out or get old before they popped. I'm very pleased with my 205/75-15 D rated Carlisles.
