AS of now i am running on motor but will be spraying a 350 shot on it in two stages 150 from the gate and 200 on top.
What should i be looking for in a converter. As in stall and size Brand etc. This is a streetcar that will be seeing track use also. My friend has a 4500 bosshog converter, he says i can have it for free. But i dont there quality and if it will hold the hp and juice when i decide to shoot. How fast should i be going on motor and on juice do you think 8's is possible on the button. Thanks for all the help.

I'm thinking you'll want it to flash to about 4500 on the bottle. But you're best bet is to call a pro and get a nice custom converter. I love my Bradco and of course you won't go wrong with a Chance.

Boss hog / Redneck el cheapo converters aren't likely to work well with the spray. You get what you pay for in a converter. Like Craig mentioned, talk to a quality converter Manufacturer to get a recommendation on what your car needs - and don't be surprised if it has to be tweaked to hit the exact right settings for your engine and car combination.
An 8 second pass is going to take some time to do and might be asking too much, especially with the car weight you're likely dealing with. If you have a light car, like 2800 lbs, then it would be a lot more possible. I'm guessing you're at 3400 lbs or so? 9's are very likely with what you have to work with at this point, but there's nothing wrong with having a goal to shoot for...

Hi, John Thanks for your reply. The reason i say is 8's possible cause my buddy has a 89 iroc with a 383 with track 1 heads Dfi fuel injection and 2 stages of nitrous combing a 300 hit total. Here is a basic run down of his car 383 12.1 254,260 113 lobe sep 600 lift solid roller cam, 1 3/4 headers turbo 400, 3500 stall, 4.10 gears,9 inch rear, wolfe suspension all around Tubbular upper and lower arms with k member brodix track 1 heads not ported. his car weights 3,300 #s with him in it all steel except for hood and has power windows. this thing gets driven to the track 80 miles one way and the car runs 9.38 140+ mph. I think because of his fuel injection that is why the car is so consistent and can be driven everywhere. Besides that i really think i should run better than that considering i have a bigger motor better heads more cam more of pretty much everything. Oh and by the way his car runs 11.23 on motor so the juice really makes a huge difference on his car. Thanks i will give Marty a call and see what he has in mind for my combination.

434 nova - I like to keep my posts on the tech help side, rather than the sales side. If you call me i can go over your specific combo in greater detail and design a converter for you. (316-542-9869)
When you do a converter for something running with and without nitrous you have to decide between:
nitrous converter to also be used on motor
motor converter to also be used on nitrous
compromise converter with stall between nitrous and motor - beware most pick this, and this will slow your car down on motor and nitrous
