About how much does it cost to have a converter cut apart, then bolted, and welded back together. The trans got smoked and this ones needs cleaned out thanks.

We have a shop locally who does it for between $75 and $125, depending on size and what they have to replace.Hitchcock wrote:About how much does it cost to have a converter cut apart, then bolted, and welded back together. The trans got smoked and this ones needs cleaned out thanks.

Re: Fluching out a converter
approx $150 depends if you need anything replaced or upgraded. You are welcome to bring it in and we can take it apart while you wait. Then you can see exactly what you have and we can go over it with you. Thanks Marty
