I know you are, that's what family is all about! I just sent you a love letter by the way.

The car is coming along real good, next month the rest of the parts are going to be painted, then after the car is back together, the stripes are going on and then a final wet sand and buff job.

The new converter is going in, in two weeks, I still need to finish up the hood and a few other small things.

It's going to be 98% race ready by the end of Sept and all that I'll need will be a helmet and belts.

I'm still finding small ways to shed some weight off of it, someone drilled that into my mind, but I may not push myself to get it out this season, I'd rather be 100% sure it is all race ready for the begining of next season. I don't want to be one of thoise stories that you read about where there were tons of problems. But for sure, it will look good.

How's the Chevelle?

Ok, the Camaro that is sitting in your garage with air in the cooling system, that really really looks like a Chevelle :thumb:

More updates, but no pictures, yet!

Got the hood installed and looks great.

Got a new electric water pump that needs to be installed.

Coworker told me he wants to get back to painting the car, so starting the first week of Sept, as long as the weather stays decent, the car is going to start getting painted again. The doors are getting re-done and then the front end parts are next.

Then I'm going to sport some nice new decals, got a nice windshield decal from my engine builder and our buddy Rob sent me some nice California Horsepower & Performance decals for my quarter windows. Guess I'm his East Coast rep, huh Rob?

This week, after I get back from the shore, hopefully the P/G will come out and the new converter will go in.

Looks like next season will be a complete go for me.

I'll try to get more pictures.

UPDATE: Sept. 29, 2011

It's back to work on the Camaro. The doors have been repainted but are still at the shop. He painted my front bumper and filler panel that goes between the header panel and radiator support and dropped them off yesterday. They look great :thumb:

I'm picking up the doors on Sat and at the same time, dropping off the fenders, cowl, header and lower valance panel. I'm guessing that will keep him busy for maybe 2 weeks?

Then when they get picked up, I'm dropping off the last piece, the hood.

So it appears the car will be orange just in time for Halloween and I can sit it out front with a candle in it and I can be the "Great Pumpkin" Charlie Brown :smt005
