T.E.A?
I have a set of trickflow as cast 195cc runner, 62 cc chamber heads. Just wondering If you guy have had or know anyone that has dealt with Total Engine Airflow for some head porting?? I bought the heads when I was going to build a 355, but i ended up building a 11.2:1, 6" rod 383. The motor makes lots of tourque but noses over quickly after 5500 if i'm not spraying it. 421hp @5500 anf 458 ft/lbs@4200. Has a super flat tourque curve. The cam is a pretty small hydraulic flat tappet also 228/234@.050, .480/.494 w/ 1.5 rockers and 110* lsa. I talked to the guys at T.E.A they gave me some flow numbers over the phone that sounded pretty good, my exaust would flow about as much as my intake know, and the intake would flow well and move over 300cfm around .500 lift, and they'd build them for a mech. roller good for .700 lift. They also said the new intake runner would be a bit bertter than 215cc. That coupled with my new cam what kind of power do you boys think i'd make. New cam, solid roller custom gind from Camshaft Innovations. 252.76/265.91@.500, .626/.610 lift, 111.55 lsa.

Re: T.E.A?
I would put the new cam in and try it before you switch your heads.
I dont think its the heads causing you to nose over at 5500 I think its the small cam.
the smaller heads may be at max flow and at this point be the limiting factor, but the velocity should be increased helping with the VE of the engine and help the scavenge effect...you might be suprised at what you will find.
with the smaller compression, I feel with the big cam and small heads it might work better than the small compression and the big cam and big heads.

OK thanks for the heads up, easy enough to try to as I already have the cam at home.
Re: T.E.A?
My engine is 6" rod 383 with a set of dart pro1 200cc heads. No port work done! Engine makes 565hp with a custom ground 252, 265 dur. , 616" lift solid roller.
I would think a cam change would wake your motor up! as stated above.
