Had to order a new cam
I bougth a used cam off another website, when I got it I noticed a couple nicks on the lobes. One of my dads old buddies grinds weird cams for a living so he said he would look it over and he said he tought he could fix it. Got a call last night and he said he tried but no luck the core isnt worth the time to fix it. $200 lesson learned.
Just got done ordering from Bullet, best customer service I found. New grind they spec'd was pretty close to the used cam I bought. 283/297@ .050 .825/.775 113lsa to be installed on 110. I wish the other cam was usable but oh well.

I have learned my lesson on this too. Bought a bullet a year or so ago and the thing was bent, that's right bent. To make it worse it was a family member. I will no longer buy used parts unless I am 100% certain about it.

That sucks did you try to get your $$ back fron the guy who sold it to you? The other way to look at it is at least you didnt put it in the engine and have a lifter come apart or something and have a huge loss $200 isnt that bad compared to losing a motor.Stll bad but not too bad.
Re: Had to order a new cam
Thats the truth. I wasnt about to risk the whole damn thing coming apart over $400. I made up for it today anyway, my boss had 2-10lbs and 1-15lbs N20 bottles that he gave me this morning.
