I used the teflon sealer. I think it's permatex it's the white that you brush on.

Bolt not studs right?
Can't be frugal on the paste on the bolts.
If it is studs total different deal on getting them to seal.

first time i might not had enough on there? but i put water in today and it bubbled up out the bolt again and this time i just smuthered the bolt in the white teflon?
I called my engine builder today and told him and he told me to come down and grab a stud from him so after lunch im going to go get a stud. man i hope that works.

If you are using a stud you need to clean the hole and use Indian Head Schellac on the block side and lube the nut and washer.

I put the stud in tonight.
Thats lots of funny trying to clean the hole with the head on the motor.
Don im running a small block chevy 350 block.
I went to ARP's website and they have a FAQ section on leaking head bolts so that makes me feel better knowing it's a common issue.
Makes me wonder how many times ive had this happen in the past on other motors and just didnt catch it?
