no thermostat

The guys who built my new engine told me not to use a thermostat but to use a restrictor ring in its place I trust what they are telling me
is any one else using these.

Roy I just use a gutted out thermostat in mine, that way we can cool the engine down better between rounds.

I run a Moroso restrictor in my t-stat housing. I don't remember which size orifice I'm using. I'm running a 388 SBC on E85, with electric fan and water pump, and it stays cool all day long at the track. Like John said, it allows quick cool down between rounds without the T-stat.

they gave me a mr gasket pack with 3 different size rings and said just keep an eye on the temp which i would anyway
