Isky Red Zone Tie Bars Needed

#1 Post by John_Heard » Mon May 30, 2005 7:36 am

Anyone got a couple extra BBC Isky Red Zone tie bars laying around? I came up missing two of them, dang things grew feet and walked off somewhere.

I could probably make you a couple if you send me one to go by. Of course that would put me in the driver's seat for our little bet!

 I don't think so Tim.. LOL

I know those suckers are around the garage somewhere. Washed the lifters in the parts washer, put them in a coffee can full of oil and two tie bars disappeared when I took them out. Must be like the clothes dryer eating socks. I'll call Isky tomorrow and get some replacements - how bad did they sock it to you on yours?

I paid $35 for a complete set of tie bars, so they are reasonably priced.

Heck, they might even have a couple loose ones lying around and not packaged as a full set.

That's not too bad, I've wasted $35 worth of time looking for those dang things.

Found one bad push rod last night, the end was starting to gall a little. Luckily I did have a spare to replace it.

JB - YES! I'm chomping at the bit LOL

Well that didn't hurt too bad, $5 each direct from Isky. They're on their way.

Cool, good to know they sell them separately since they are so easy to lose.

I guess there goes my cushion for getting mine going first! LOL
