Neat idea to prevent burnt spark plug wires

#1 Post by John_Heard » Fri Apr 21, 2006 10:19 am

This is a pretty cool product that we just added to the race parts directory, they are called "SparkArms" and looks like a great idea if you've got a real tight fitting set of headers to get more clearance on the wires. Pretty good story behind their invention - http://www.wrenchrat.com/aboutus.php

Thanks for posting this. I have had an issue with plug wires to close to my headers. I am definitely going to get me some of these. I was glad to see that they mentioned on their sight about not losing spark energy. Quality plug wires cost to much to not invest.

Do you know how good is it for a SBC #6 plug wire.I have large tube headers with a strait plug. This one always quick to burn. The others have been routed safely away from the heat. Number 5 plug is close but the #6 is basically touching it. I have used heat shield material, it does slow the burning, not stop it. Thanks
