Throttle cable ? for 69 nova
I am looking to swap the original cable i have from the six cylinder to a lokar for my v8 do i need the 24 inch long cable or the 36. I am looking at the universal ones from lokar. thanks

24 is usually long enough, we use the 36 if the cable comes up from the floor ( mainly on street rods)

On another site I visit, there was a discussion about this and a lot of people prefer using a solid rod vs the cable.
Have you ever thought about that?
I got all my stuff from McMaster-Carr, 1/4" solid rod and some swivel joints.
No real rocket science just a little elbow grease and it was done.
But then again if you have the fatory setup, if it's anything like the Camaro's, you'd need a new throttle bracket for a V-8.

Those who think they know it all have no way of finding out they don't.........

I wouldn't recommend the solid rod throttle on a car without front J Bars. They flex a LOT more than what you'd think.
