well guys....we recieved our pro comp heads, they seem ok,they needed some clean up in the bowl areas(rough casting) and a little short side work. we also port matched an air gap using 1206 fel-pros. chambers seem ok, once again mild clean up. stud alignment to valves are ok (some have said this may be a problem area). so......the car is a 91 mustang with an aje k/member,355 sbc, 10.5 comp 750 vacume, and a hyd cam...234/244 @.050 488/510lift shelf cam 1.5 roller rockers ,formentioned 195 heads and intake. running a 700r4 with 2500 stall, mustang 8.8, 355 posi, 26x9 hoosiers car has been lightened and has strange adjustable struts and shocks as well as adjustable upper control arms with air bag. we will keep you all posted on how it runs with our el-cheepo combo! thanks to all for your thoughts. keep them coming :thumb:

we used the bare heads because i wanted to touch up the ports as mentioned. i also had spare competition products stainless undercut valves to fit as well as 600 lift springs, 10 degree retainers and locks. so if you feel that you can run them as is for $649.00.....thats ok, but check out what quality parts are being used. i prefer to do my own assembly and clean-up, and port matching. if you decide to go the flat tappet cam route , i would use shell rotella 15-40 and run a container of gm oil supplement seems to allow the cam to live longer life, and other engine parts seem to wear less.......just my experience and 2 cents..... :thumb:
