I am thinking about getting a air box made for my 78 camaro with a 4inch cowl induction hood and I needed some specs or ideas. It's a small block chevy 421 with a 1050dom.I heard of and seen people(Frank Meushaw) gain using one and others not. I just wanted to try one myself! I seem to recall that it had to be a certain height and distance from the top of the cowl, but I'm not sure. Any knowledge or experiences would
be greatly appreciated on any kind of setups u have encounter! Thanks
Vince, and have a blessed day.

Are you wanting to pull the air from the cowl area or from up front?
I've got some pictures of how I set up my Nova to pull air from up front just over the top of the radiator support if you want something to look at. I'd suggest making a mock up out of cardboard to figure out where to make your bends and then transfer to some aluminum.

Here is a pic of my 67 camaro pan. I have 1" foam on the hood that seals it to the pan.

Yes it is. That picture is pretty old. Feb 04 I believe. The roads were clear so I went out for a drive to a friends house.
