Re: SPAL fan users
One thing I can tell you about the push through mounts, every car I've seen stand up with a high wheelie then come crashing down seems to break those mounts dumping the fan on the track lol.. Course, that can also bend the radiator mounts, the radiator, smash the headers and who knows what else.

Bruce I have the dual 11" fan set up from Spal I mounted them by welding an aluminum channel across the radiator top and bottom and used 1/4" nut serts for hardware and the dual set up is pretty heavy.
Re: SPAL fan users
check this fan we use this one on most the cars we do because of tight quarter it actually sinks in to the shroud between a 1/2 to 3/4 inch and it is a 2 speed but we just set it on high speed and it work awesome plus it is rate through a radiator not at static like most companies rate there fans something to remember when your buying because of cfm

Re: SPAL fan users
Speaking of flow/ cfm's, I found out the fan that I wanted was only 2070cfm's but SPAL has another one, 30102082 and even though it's a tad bit wider (3.75" vs. 3.38") it flows 2470cfm's, so I think I will go with that model but I do like how the Derale fan gets mounted to the radiator.
Rob, I was looking at the instructions for that fan, do I need to wire the high and low together because it said that the high will not work unless the low if powered or something like that?
Thanks

Those who think they know it all have no way of finding out they don't.........
Re: SPAL fan users
Had a hi/low fan from Walker radiator in a 46 chevy truck street rod the guy from Walker said to wire it together if we were not using the 2 speed option also we had to use a 70 amp relay and 8ga power wire.Bruce69Camaro wrote:Speaking of flow/ cfm's, I found out the fan that I wanted was only 2070cfm's but SPAL has another one, 30102082 and even though it's a tad bit wider (3.75" vs. 3.38") it flows 2470cfm's, so I think I will go with that model but I do like how the Derale fan gets mounted to the radiator.
