Fuel Cell Size
What is the smallest size fuel cell that a person would want to run with 725hp motor + nitrous in a single fuel system? Also is there a preference plastic or aluminum?

1 gallon for just the nitrous is plenty big but with the motor too 2 maybe 2 1/2 min? Driving back up the return road, waiting at the scales, to the staging lanes, etc. Yeah I think I would want at least a 2 1/2.julven wrote:What is the smallest size fuel cell that a person would want to run with 725hp motor + nitrous in a single fuel system? Plastic is lighter than aluminum

fuel cell
I use a 1 gal cell in front for a 750hp - 555 BBC with a single plate system (only 100 shot) and have a 1 1/2 qt left in cell after a run. System holds 5 qts with lines and pump. Can run 2 passes w/o running NOS. I like the weight being the same every round
i agree about the weight being the same, and i would fill the tank to the same level every pass, a crude way is to fill the tank then stick it and mark the stick then use it every pass. The other thing is we have to drive to the lanes to the scales and back, also some of the tracks have a long detoure for a return road, kinda stuip but hey its were they race.
I was looking at a 5 gal and there is 3 lbs between plastic and alum.I think I am going to cut some more on the car and get the alum. All the plastic ones I have had sink in the center after some age. Does anyone have a good outlet for one Summit has them for 139.00 which isn't bad.I just don't know if I have it in me to do a 1 gal.LOL! I will end up with a 3-5 gal. Thanks for the input guys!
I can buy this cell used from a local guy. http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s ... _879061_-1 We are changing thing a bit . We are looking at alcohol and mounting the tank up frt.Do you guys think this is enough and what are some things we need to know about doing this. Jason
