has anyone tried to use a brass ball tee valve to shut off the nitrous?
(hardware store kind)
Nos sales a fancy one for $100 bucks. Seems a little steep.
I cant reach my bottle and want to be able to shut it off in case of solenoid freezing.
thanks, tony

You need to have something rated for the pressure you'll be at. I think the ones that are silver might work ok, they are for LPG Gas tanks, look at the tags to see the PSI rating. I don't think the brass body ones are rated for the pressure you need. The fancy ones are from Parker, if you have an industrial equipment place or hydraulics shop you might check those stores.
My 1971 X275 Nova | Facebook
www.mscdirect.com might have something that'll work.

You can get 6000# rated ball valves from parker, swagelok, etc. You could use a forged NPT ball valve which is rated to 2000, or some at 5000#'s but they do not look as nice as a proper tube valve.
