stock rods 420 motor + 100 shot
I have a 355 chevy stock rods and pistons. It has a trickflow 420hp topend kit. How long will it live with 100 shot nos kit?
My car is not as fast as I think it is.

Probably quite a while. Hot Rod had an article where they were trying to blow up a stock small block using Nitrous a while back. Seems like they got to the 400-500 hp range if I remember right before it puked.
100 shot should not be a problem in my opinion

X2 on John's comments. 100 shot shouldnt be a problem at all. I have a friend that has a 355 and has stock crank that turns 7000-7500 and is spraying a 150 shot to his for about a year now. And on top of that, he built the engine like 7 years ago and I dont think he has freshened it up yet.... I exspect it to kill over soon..
400-500 shot before it puked! Dang, thats crazy! Makes me feel a little better about my wimpy 175 shot

It was like a 350 they got out of a junk yard, low compression, wore out etc. It was a neat article but I can't remember when it was published.

cool
Well I grate. I found the artical. It was a 350 two bolt and it took 300 (620hp) then they stupidlt purged the nitrous through the motor and cracked the piston. Rebuilt it with better pistons and rods and it took 400. Same two bolt.
