psi dead head reg drop
I am running a mallory 140 pump with dead head reg at 6.5psi, it runs one side to carb and one to nitrous. When I hit it the psi drops for a second. Is this just normal for a dead head? If I ran a pump for nitrous with a dead head reg would it do the same thing? I am running a chevy 355 holley 750 vac and a nos with 100 shot (like a 75hp NX). I know it would be better to have a bypass that will come later.
My car is not as fast as I think it is.

that is normal. some nitrous guys like it because when nitrous activated the mixture is rich and the initial hit wont be as hard.
when i used a deadhead i could set my nitrous fuel pressure for 6 lbs free flowing, but when it was backed up it would read around 9 lbs.
i switched to a bg bypass regulator for $60.00.
seems much easier.
