nos plate quest

does it make any difference if the fuel solenoid line run's to the front or back of the plate

It depends on the plate and how old it is. Some of the ones that take no fixed jetting have different sized holes. Most of the ones that have the removeable jets are the same now, though. I had a bunch of different plates once, is how I know. I used a torch tip cleaner and used it as a go/no go to see if there was a difference...

Seems to me the fuel ought to be at the front, so you're not fighting gravity to fill the tube.
