Jacobs Electronics Mastermind controller

#1 Post by camaroman9 » Sat Oct 18, 2008 10:57 pm

has anyone ever used one of these? i know that everyone says the edelbrock ones are nice, but its not fitting my budget and i'm only running a single stage. just curious if anyone has had good luck with this and if they are user friendly.

Never used one of those myself but I've heard it is a decent quality one. Another one that is very good for the money is the Old NX Maximizer black box controller, nicknamed "Fred". If you can find one of those it's a easy to use design, no bells or whistles but works really good -and NO noise issues.

Doc Mustang guys had one in their car a few years ago - not sure if they still have it or not. I used a borrowed one for a while but don't have that one anymore. Now using the 2nd Generation Maximizer and getting ready to switch to the 3rd generation one.

I had tried two on two different occasions and did not have good luck with it at all. I never did get either one to work right.
