12 bolt

#1 Post by kyleracer » Sun Jul 18, 2010 5:54 pm

My 12 bolt broke the right tube loose from the center section ! Some say it can be fixed and some say it can not be fixed ! Is it worth the trouble to fix or should I just get a new one ??

They are just tack welded from the factory. pretty common for this to happen. Have it welded solid by a competent welder and you should be good...
Trucks are for haulin...

It was welded around the tube already ! Can it be rewelded and hold ? It has a alum diff cover to support the caps that has a brace kit that can be attached ! I am going to get the brace kit for it if I stay with the 12 bolt !

Must've been a lousy weld job. Grind it off and have someone that knows how to weld do it this time.
