Good idea John, I have always been told that teflon tape is a big NO NO of fuel or N2O stuff.
Atleast you found the problem tho.
piston damage from nitrous, lean or rich?
Moderator: John_Heard
I bought a nitrous system off a guy and he was all up set because he had burned his motor up and could not figure out why but I think I did when I took it all apart. The fuel pressure regulator dighphram had bust and plugged the fuel solenoid screen up. The regulator rebuild kits for the Holleys are cheap so I rebuilt all mine. Just something to think about along the same lines.

flow the system
Hey there, It amazes me that a lot of you guyz dont flow the whole system???? but then again we have had a lot of meltdownz and dont trust nothin!!!! and its a time thing too! but I always make a point of doing it every meeting......
I took your advice John on this link,http://texasmeltdowns.com/FOGGER.HTM and checked evry1 of the little suckers, found 1 that was suspect and delt to it! now all is good! cheerz for that!!!! even plug readings. :)
As for the thread tape>>> I never never use that, We have a loctite teflon sealer in Kiwi Land, flexible and its a paste. Easy to apply and clean off, I have found that if your fittings ie: "nozzle into manifold" is getting loose a slight dimple on the fogger thread with a centre punch is more than good, then fresh sealant.
