MSD makes a billet reluctor wheel that is made for "precise" timing accuracy in extreme race conditions (why dont they put it in the distributer to begin with, wouldnt you want accurate timing in any application)anyway maybe this is your problem.I guess it would have to move a little though.

Maybe if you can add a shim to reduce that play it would stop doing it...

We will check and see what the one that doesn't move has and compare. I can't do any testing for a day or so. We pulled the intake last night. We are getting some water seeping. the block was decked .020+ and the shop thought it would be okay with the 1255 gasket and it looked okay on test fit but it isn't.
