Oddyssey Batteries

#1 Post by sc racing » Wed Jun 20, 2007 9:05 am

Anybody (12 volt guys) using Oddyssey batteries? Its time to make new fuel cell and battery mounts and was thinking of using their PC925T battery, its only 24.5 lbs and its small 6-1/2"x6-7/8"x4-7/8". I can put it in the far pass rear corner of the car because of its size.cranking amps are as follows:
925 for 5 seconds
870 for 10 "
765 for 20 "
675 for 30 "
28 amp hours
52 min reserve capacity.
Im not concerned with cold cranking amps which is ony 360 @ o* and 500 @ 32*
They claim an 8-12 year life span I find that kind of hard to beleive so I want to know anybody have one for a long time? anybody have one they just got?

I run 2 of them. 1 in the stock location (rule required) and 1 in the trunk. I think they are great. Not sure how long they last, mine are a few years old. --Matt

I think the key to extending any battery's life in a race car is to use a battery tender.

I've run a lot of different batteries and the Odyssey's are my favorite. Small and lightweight....and the quality is excellent.
