window switch and relay

#1 Post by stroker1 » Tue Aug 07, 2007 11:50 am

Need help bad!! I am looking for a wiring schematic for doing my n2o set up. I'm gonna use my cheater kit and was wondering how to wire my relay. I'm not using a t-brake. Question is the built in window switch from my ignition box is rated at 10 amps neg. Can I use it to ground my relay for my solenoids. And then use the arming switch to turn on the relay. Then just break ground with my window switch to the relay ground??

Thanks alot. Stroker1

I think most people are on holidays or just busy with summer activities.

Yes, you can use the window switch to open/close the control circuit on a relay. The current draw for the control circuit of a relay is very small, i would be suprised if it is 1/2 amp.

Here is a diagram and just substitute your window switch in place of the throttle switch.

Thanks alot guy!! That's exactly what I needed to know. My window switch will go at the end of that negative line. In other words it will be the source of ground for the relay, going through the FPSS and rull throttle switch.

That's awesome! Thanks
