The program is available on MSD's website. It'll work with many different boxes, old and new.

however i was at the track(las vegas) today and talked to the guys on the trailer here and they said that was not the right program. will see when i get home in a couple weeks after pomona. thanks for the info. though

p.s. what you've done on that little tire is awsome.keep it up,

I think the one I've been using is 3.01 and I've got the older 7530 box

Interesting. The same program version worked for my 7530 and my newer 7531. Hard to say. I'd try the new program and see if it works.

Thanks, hopefully next year will yield more improvements in performance and points.

I have the install program for my digital 7 PN 7530. I'm sure I can email it if you need.

I also have MSDProdata273, MSDprodata309

It seems as if I have more then one MSD program.

run retard

#8 Post by robb » Thu Dec 06, 2007 3:48 pm

so i got the new computer working with my 7530 box and usb to serial adapter. down loaded the box to the pc and came back with -10 deg. in the run retard. not sure why i would have done this as we are not spraying it yet. anyway the way i understand the instructions the retard would not happen until after the 1-2 shift do to the launch retard overrides until the shift occurs. the dark blue wire is wired to the t-brake. so this would knock the specified retard out for the remainder of the run correct. this may account for the lack of mph on full runs (need to comfirm this on jack stand this weekend) then fix it. is everyone retarding on nos with the staged retards or ?. i would like to come off t-brake spraying and retard at the same time. working up from 150 shot to a tuned 300 shot off the brake.

The Dark Blue wire goes to the transbrake, it's like a reset wire, when 12volts is removed from that wire the launch retard and gear 1 retard are activated until the car shifts, then you go to your run curve. Personally I used the Step Retards for the nitrous for example Step 1 for stage 1 and Step 2 for Stage 2 Nitrous. Then of course you can additional retards for launch or down track conditions using either the run curve or launch retard
