Its basically the same as my prostick if you look at the gate its shaped like stairs except upside down. You have to cut out or grind away the last "stair" or step so the shifter will go into high without pulling the lever,but.....be carefull because nothing will stop you from starting off in high gear except you.

I like the B&M Pro Ratchet its just a push/pull type no levers just the one for reverse lockout.I forgot you have a glide so you pull the detent and PUSH into high gear right? You dont have to worry about starting in high gear I though it was pull the detent and PULL int high like my TH350.

If you have a reverse pattern tranny/shifter all you'll have to do is pull back on it and it will go into high gear without the detent being pulled. I think it would have to be pulled on a forward pattern. 8-)

Personally I love the Hurst Pistol Grip Quarter Stick. Thats what I run.

I use a qtrstik and powerglide with standard shift pattern. from 1st to second you just push it up. from 2nd to neutral you pull the handle. from neutral to rev, you dont pull the handle but push the reverse lockout and from rev to park you pull the handle. And yes, you can launch from 2nd if after a burnout you forget to pull it down.(manual valve body)

Do they make a Quarter Stick just for a powerglide? I'm running a Quarter Stick with my TH350. You just push forward for 1-2 shift. Squeeze the lever to push into 3rd.

The instructions on mine show the same shifter as the t350/400 but you have to replace the actuator arm on the powerglide. The shifter comes with all the mounts and hardware for pg, t350 and 400.
they are good solid shifters and virtually foolproof unlike most ratchet shifters.

I am running a glide with a quarter stick forward pattern manual valve body. I love the quarter stick. It is also compatible with 350 & 400. When I shift from 1st to 2nd it is just a simple push. You can't beat it. If I remember correctly all you have to do to switch to 3 speed shifter is remove a gate cover plate from the side. You can't go wrong with a hurst quarter stick. I have freinds that have been running the same shifter for 25 years or so. And if you want to add an electric solenoid shifter every body makes brackets and attachments for them.

I could be wrong on this but I think the Hurst Q-Stick cant be changed with gates plates but the B&M Pro Stick can. Because I just changed mine from a powerglide to a 700R4 with just a 4 speed gate plate. $17 or so from your favorite speed shop. 8-)
