It just might  My buddy offered to let me run his car, but I was scared. Its the nicest 69 camaro you have ever seen full interior roll up windows street legal, dont think it was the speed that scared me but how nice the car was.3400lbs 704bbc and 3 systems that runs 5.0x on a .71 jet in the plate. Sorry for hijackin

For 1/8 mile racing if your going to be running on the motor I would think you would want some 4.88 gears or so. Ive been wanting to throw the gear venders od thats sitting in my garage in my car with a set of 5.0 gears to run na with. Dont let your weight scare you with a glide. And vs. a th400 it should calm down your launches if your spinning at all.

Big difference between 6.16 and 5.00's, you may not have been scared, but you should have been concerned. Better to inch your way into something that fast...

Oh man you are right. I went from running 5.80s 1/8 mile to 5.0s that is a big ass difference.

I have a glide w/ the turbo input a few extra clutches and a brake w/ 4.88s and a 29 inch tire...no problems. I like leaving at 5000.

If I remember 5800...but that's eigth mile  Thats why I will be opting for 4.11s or 4.30s this coming season, I'd like to snag some of the big bucks races that seem to miss the eigth mile track I race at.
