Check out the new locking style one from lokar, it shouldn't have any fitment problems.

I've got one of the new lokars with the locking setup. It works just fine and is a quality part. I like how they made the opening larger with the new locking model so you don't have to use an adapter to put a funnel in it. A+ get ya one...

I'm going to drill and tap a bolt thru the dipstick cap or weld a pull latch onto the tube to satisfy the NHRA rule. It will be lockable.
I can't see spending $100+ for a new dipstick.

was going to drill and tap for a set screw but so far they haven't said anything to me but the guy behind me at tech was told he needed one and he was in a nova so hope it is not just focused on nova's that would be stupid. but i was thinking wouldn't fluid come out the over flow tube on top of the trans case before the dipstick????????

you can get a locking dipstick from any chevrolet dealership. they are for 1990 454 ss pickups with th 400 trans. should be alot less than a $100.00.

Hughes also makes a locking dipstick for $50 if you didn't want to spend $100 on the lokar one
