9" Rearend

#1 Post by grandville455 » Wed Oct 27, 2010 10:56 am

Finally toasted my buick 9 3/8 ring gear sat after I just went 1.63 run before, and these rears don't have any aftermarket stuff ,so I am wanting to switch to a 9"... Now my car weighs 4550 with me in it so i need something that will hold up! Do U think the strange S case is strong enough or no? Making 560-580 hp and 600 ft lbs..leaving at 2500 on foot brake flashes to 4200..This is also still a street car so not sure if i want to go to a spool!.. also would run 35 spline axles... thanks guys!

Would take 200 shipped.. this is the only pic i have when i pulled the cover too see what broke. I also have another posi with a ring gear attached that looks to be new or in very good condition, I would let that assembly go for $350
