Can't say I've seen this topic covered. Any suggestions/tips on how to improve a vehicles reaction time?

Shorter front tires, better trans brake button ( if used). Lighter front spring rate(I was just reading Dave Morgans chassis book) the front end reacts faster with more stored energy.

Raise front air pressure
Raise rear air pressure (if it will hook with more)
Raise launch rpm
Roll in a little deeper
Switch to a radial slick or drag radial
anti roll bar if it's stock style 4- link

I believe solid mounts help too...engine AND body. My trans guy recommends leaving the tailhousing mount rubber.

So we have a Moroso pair of front tires on the Olds. They are 27 3/4" tall and 87 3/4" circ. I think some 26" diameter tires 81" circ might do the trick? What can we expect for improvements?

Practice makes perfect Harry...and fruits don't hurt either - gotta keep your mind sharp.

More on topic
I have noticed that a 1/2 pound of air in the front tires will make a difference. I was needing to slow down my ride at the tree...

Going from the tall front tires to the 26" ers, made the RTs quicker by about .025-.030. That was running two classes two days (Box & Nobox with trans brake). No way to tell exactly but did what we were after :smt003.
