After deciding to go multileafs I want sliders on rear? For placement do I get car at my ride height then weld into position? :?:

Why did you decide to use Multi Leafs? Split Mono's not in the budget for now?

Are you moving the springs inboard?

To answer your question, yes, you want the car sitting on the springs to simulate ride height so you can determine where the slider needs to be positioned.

I bolted everything up and sat the car down on the sliders, moved the boxes to where there was just a little more room to slide in the front of the box (so the spring eye just to the back of center in the box) and welded them to the box I made to mount them to.

I would think if you use the position you weld the box to control ride height that would cause binding and defeat the purpose. Maybe I was mis understanding you though?
