Double Adjustable Rear Shocks?
ANY PREFERENCE ON BRANDS AND DO THEY WORK MUCH BETTER THAN SINGLE ADJUSTABLES?
D/R 119 5.52@ 128.53
Hey Rick, ask Roger, and his wheelstanding Monte I've heard AFCO,Strange, and QA1 double adjustables all work better than the single adjustables. They sure are pricey though. I wanna see the Malibu on its bumper this weekend.

Rick the best of the best are Santhuff's - http://www.santhuffshocks.com if you have a car that shakes the tires at times they will last you a lot longer - these are not built the same as other shocks..different valving concept. For a more budget shock, the Afco's are good so are the Strange Doubles. I'm not a big fan of the QA1's myself, I don't think they have near the capabilities the others have.
How you guys doing? Have you been out racing yet this year?

Glad you think the double adjustable Afco's are budget shocks John. I'll run out buy 4 of 'em since I now know that little factoid. Who's budget are we talking? Bill Gates? Ha ha.
Some might disagree Santhuffs are the "best of the best"..........see below link

How much more are Santhuffs than Afcos? I grabbed a pair of Santhuffs at my chassis builder's shop and thought they were heavy duty which meant they were also HEAVY. Are they all that heavy? The rod looks to be twice the diameter as offerings from Afco. You're right, they probably are better for a car with lots of violent tire shake and horsepower.

Mike Santhuff's retail around $970/pr for D/A coil overs, Afco's price varys depending on dealers but retail about $822/pr. I don't know the weight differences between the Afco's and the Santhuffs but I would assume they are heavier due to their construction.
Rick good to hear you and James are getting out doing some racing. Sounds like the Bu' is running good too! I looked at the rules, doesn't look like I would be legal for their DR class.. Windshield wipers??? That's impossible on mine now with the new hood but I think I have a boat air horn I could use LOL.

That's good to know about the wipers and thanks for the offer on the tires. I do want to get a set of radials sometime to run some of the D/R stuff. Need to get me an extra set of rims too. I don't know what the plan is for the weekend, weather doesn't look real good... Do you want to sell the tires?
