No it as if the motor is to far forward because I can just barly see the edges of the bolt holes in the tranny mount. I was thinking of elongating the crossmember holes alittle more.

I had to moddify the motor mounts to make the BBC fit in here and still have clearance with the headers on, I would have liked to set the motor back further but it wasnt possible.

not sure either? when i picked up the car it had the 74+ style frame pads welded in. after i cut them off I went back with the same style mounts only solid thinking everything would fit like it was supposed to, wrong. I ended up getting the solid moroso frame pads/block mounts and making it work. motor fits nicely now just needs some persuasion on the tranny crossmember

It might be easier to get one of those "universal " tubular x-members > I think its probably lighter too.

Finally, got some pic's of my nova..

#128 Post by sverbus » Mon Jul 10, 2006 9:09 am

This is the purple money eater as I've come to call it. The picture still doesnt do the paint justice as it was getting dark by the time we got back from GoodGuys here in Columbus.

That's my dad's English Anglia that has been channeled, tubbed, mustang IFS with a blown SBC 355 and full custom interior and paint. Other than Paint spray, and interior, the entire car was built by he and I. It's got a 700r4 with a Ford 9" rear. The whole car wet only weights 2300lbs....

The nova is a 434sbc that has been more hassle than it's worth, and I run a powerglide with a Coan 4500 9.25" converter. Driveline 1 shaft with t56 aluminum yoke and pinon. Ford 9" with Strange aluminum pinion mount and 4.56's. (rearend upgrade in the works)

No times on the track as of yet cause we've had a few gremlins to work out....but hopefully soon!

Take it easy,

Scott

Mokan,
I hardly saw your post inside of that quote there....

And to answer your question no it hasn't, it's only been painted for about a month and put back together for less than that. I think he wants to try it out at 1/8 mile but has no desire to try and hold that thing down at 1/4 mile. It does get squirrelly very quickly, I launched it and it's a handful compared to the nova!

Thanks for the comments,

Scott

2nd pic (Mike - I think the problem was you had spaces in the file name - next time you try uploading try it with filenames with no spaces in them)
