Yeah, the Chevelle owners let the Camaro and Nova owners battle it out for 2nd place on the food chain. GAME OVER!!!!!

Hi guys, I'm Ray from Pennsylvania. I'm a bracket racer for almost 25 years and racing for no money and with zero budget. Anyway, I have 3 cars right now, the Chevelle, Nova, and an ahem, 76 Malibu. The Malibu is a family heirloom that I inherited. So that is in the trailer right now. Some day the Malibu will be my step son's car. He is excited about that because it was his grandparents car, and his grandma's baby. The Chevelle is the bracket car, 540 and a t-400 with a 12 bolt rear. 3200 lbs with me in it so its a tank. The Nova was my street car project. Its an original SS350 with an aluminum head 355 with hydraulic roller cam, 4 speed and 4.10 12 bolt.

Welcome aboard ray
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.
Re: You and your ride... Post it here get to know everyone..
I'm Chris Garretson from Middletown,De almost 65, I have a 95 Quay 225" dragster(feel out of place with this, most door cars) married w/ one daughter, 33 w/ 2 grandkids. I ran S/C with a SBC in a '92 Quay car with a topend stop(8.90@119mph)from '93-2002 then bracket raced for 7 yrs, finished 3rd one yr at Cecil County Dragway, then decided to go back to S/C in 2010 when a freind I knew in tech school finally let me dial his S/G car in three runs to a 9.903, which gave me the bug again. It is more of a challenge to me to S/C than just changing the dial-in of bracket racing. I'm just about to retire and race a little more than this year, when I gave myself a concussion at Virginia when I hit my head coming out of the trailer, which turned out to be a good thing when they found an AV Fistula in my brain, underwent surgery and was cured.

Welcome to the site Chris, great bunch of guys on here.
I don't like to say this, but yes, hitting your head was a blessing. You just never know what's going on inside there, we found out the hard way, with our son when he was 3, we found a golf ball sized brain tumor on the brain stem. 14 years later, he's been cleared.
Sounds like we got a win...win situation going on here.

Yes, it seems like a good bit of ribbing going on, but probably all in good fun. I used to own a 68 chevelle malibu sport coupe that I bought brand new with a 327/325hp 4sp 3.55 posi grotto blue, also had a 66 nova, a 67 nova SS, 65 nova SS, a 69 nova, 57 64 67 corvettes, and a host of others, now I have a '09 pontiac solstice gxp coupe that were only made in 09 b4 pontiac went out , one of 1244 made, one of 781 gxp models with the 2.0 turbo, only 330 manual trans, and 179 made in wicked ruby red met, it is a rocket for what it is but still not fast compared to the dragster and the cars on here.

Hi Chris, I'm Ray. I think I have seen you at Cecil County with the car, correct? I'm new here myself and just a boring bracket racer.
Re: You and your ride... Post it here get to know everyone..
Probably, the black and white car is the one I finished 3rd back in '07, 17th in'08, and 17th in '09, and the one I S/C with a top-end stop(8.90@126mph) in 2010, '11 '12, '13. I am going this sunday for the Nat dragster challenge. Maybe I'll see u there, stop over.

Hi everyone
My name is Nick and I'm from Queensland, thought I'd join up as there seems to be a lot of good content here.
I'm part way through a slow build, basically a 4 door version of your late model GTO's
3/4 chassis, 4 link, 9", glide, 565ci shafiroff big block
I've done 99% of the fab work at home (bought the rear clip) and I'll continue to do as much as I can, about the only thing I won't be able to do is blast the whole thing prior to paint.
Look forward to talking to some of you guys in the future.
Cheers
