- Shows the cross bar welded to the driver framerail. It has to be bent to get up under the trunk pan to have some good weld area.

- This shows the anchor point junction. never mind the rusty bar tack welded to it all. We put that there when we updated the chassis, just to hold the back of the car up. Any way the chute mount is built into the assembly that slides into this junction poi

I like the way the one David posted, it's probably a little bit lighter too. Mine is a bolt on setup that takes the place of the rear bumper brackets. So far this has worked just fine however when I redo the cage in the car I'll probably make some thing more permanant. The mounts are Dzuz fasteners so it's easy to remove. The upper dzus bracket is show in this picture, the lower one isn't shown but it's in the same location as the stock bumper lower bolt.

What size is the reciever pipe, and is it a standard size.
If I weld a plate across the back on both sides with the pipe welded within, do you think that will work??
As I will driving the car on the street, I want the reciever pipe behind the licence plate, then just fold it down at the track and slide in the Paricute.

I used a S & W kit on mine, goes right through the license plate hole and can be removed and the license plate will flip up and cover it.

i used the competition engineering kit. you can remove the bar by pulling a pin. comes out right at top of license plate hole. i just redrilled license plate holes to lower the plate and i dont have to remove it or swing it down. john

Look for an old caprice in the scrapyard. They have them to and should be easy to find.

Nope sure dont, it just has the 2 screws at the top that hold the plate on.

The best thing about that is we can fill up at any pump, no need to wait for a right or left side
