My Camaro with the new look

My Camaro with the new look
Just wanted to show everyone my car with the new look. The first few pics are of the car when I first got it. Tara(my girl) and I have been working hard this year getting the car back together due to camaro needing a new cage and safety upgrades. So in order to get the new cage installed we had to take all of the interior, most of the wiring, everything out of the trunk, ect, ect, out of the car which was fine by me because I have been wanting to redo the interior since I got the car and finally I had a reason to do so. I had my cage and chute work done at "Dials Race Shop" out of Seminole Oklahoma and they do top notch work. Along with totally redoing the interior I also installed new wheels and strange pro race brakes all the way around . I also wanna give ALOT of credit to Tara because she painted my cage by hand and did a AWESOME job! Also she did most of the carpet work in the car and did a professional job, and this was her first time doing all this. After I got the car put back together and wired we made it to a Mako race at Tulsa Raceway park. The car ran faster then ever with a 6.28@110 in the 1/8 mile on the same tune-up as my previous best. I left the tuneup the same to see how much the lighter wheels and brakes helped and so far I have already seen a little over 2 tenths in gain. So I was pretty happy about that. Well after I got spanked in the first round, I decide to make a test pass. So with that said, I also put some bigger jets in the plate and boy did that thing wake up! But it didnt last long because when I shifted to 2nd it was not there
So I took the trans out and when we got it apart I found that I had broken my 34 element sprag.. Anyways the trans is fixed now and I am waiting on the next mako race on November 1st @ Mokan. I am curious to see what kinda times I can bust off before winter.. So we will see what happens.
Anyways, I just wanted to show everyone all the hard work Tara and I did. I think it was a pretty big transformation from a "bracket look" to now more of a street car look.

Beautiful work !!! Kudos to Tara for the hard work, it really turned out great. And it does look a lot more streetable at this point - very good result.
I love to see rides where folks put their heart into them - this is one of those, no doubt.
Now, if you could only do something about the missing blower up front.....

Thanks alot for the nice comments guys
I have had this car for about 5 or so years and Just slowly been upgrading as the budget allows. Being in college makes the bigger upgrades take longer, but I got lots of time to upgrade later. We have alot of fun with this car (Tara and I). Its street legal so I get a little more use out of the car that way. If we cant make it to the track we just go cruise around town a lil bit and thats just as fun.
