"Well" Fits like a glove!

#1 Post by supernova » Sat Nov 01, 2008 9:17 am

I'm putting the motor in the Nova today. It has all the steering and suspension mods completed so it should fit nicely.
Will have some pics later today.

Stay tuned. :D

You know, thats the one thing I have not done to my car ( mini tubs that is ).
I run a class that is a 275-60-15 D/R tire class and I don't have to cut on it to get the tires to fit.

Good luck with your tub project.

It took a shoe horn but " IT FIT! " oh my god I can't beleave it it fit! :o No I already had it in the other nova I have so I new it would fit. I did change the front end up so It is nice to see how well it fit with the steering and suspension mods. Had to make some changes to the mid plat as it was not in the right place but those thing happen.

Next step. To the header shop!

Uh! It's a 525 c.i. motor.

4.310 bore x 4.500 stroke, 6.535 rods. Dart pro-1 heads 335 cc intake runner, 115 cc chambers cnc ported and polished. 12.5-1 compression; Cam motion cam 7-4 swap .700+ lift ,280+ at .050; Eagle crank and rods; J&E piston. And lots of block work.
It'a more of an old school set up with new technology mixed in like the heads and cam. This thing made over 900 ft lbs of tq on the dyno with a 200 shot of n2o at 5000 rpm's. A real stump puller. This motor is why I'm building this new car. I put this motor in a 73 Nova as a streer car that I raced in a true street class. This motor needed a better car. Hence the 72 Nova project.
What else do you want to know?
