motor or nos

im having a hard time with going with all motor or use nos i dont run all the time just once a month or so the gear i use is for nos 4.86 on motor i need 5.43 i run 1/8 mile do i lose much by running the 4.86 should i use two diffrent gears or is it not worth all the extra work changing to the 5.43 when just motor have 9 inch rear
