Mounting the coil on the inside only keeps it out of the heat of the engine bay. I can't think of anything else.

Wiring is an art that I don't do well. I just try to make it look nice. I'v seen a lot of bad wiring so in my opinion it's not hard to better wiring. There isn't a book that I know of. You can go to the track and take pictures of other car and get examples of thing you are trying to do your self.

I agree that wiring is an art form and one thing that a knowlegeable racer notices about a car pretty quick......shotty wiring drives me crazy....looks bad and too many possible failures and problems.

I tend to be much more "left brain"....logical thinking and not very creative.... I can look at things and "get it"....but to create from scratch is more difficult so its nice to see others work and ideas.....

Keep up the great work.....and the pics :thumb:

I used to have my coil mounted on the firewall, but got concerned that it was interferring with some relays that were mounted nearby. So I moved mine to the front motor plate, makes for a nice short coil wire at least.

Nice Rob,
I like the box on the floor. I'm going to use my glove box for the nitrous controller and data logger. I want to put them on a roll out shelf to ease the use.
I would have put the other componants on the floor but class rules are, must have pass. seat also.
It looks good! :thumb:

I did talk to nitrous Dave (I have his relay panel) about the coil interfearing with the relays as the coil is close to them and he said that it wouldn't be a problem.

Wouldn't have anything to do with you having a belt drive dizzy :?:

Well yes, that's why I put it on the front motor plate.

Good to know the RF from the coil is no problem. I wasn't certain that was what was going on with mine or not, so I moved it.

Well, I would have liked to have given you a hard time about the length of coil wire you would have ran if you left it on the firewall.
